For what it's worth, I have a bit of information on NL2424. This is the airplane with which Shell Oil Co. processed the Limited Type Certificate (AL-2) that was approved in December 1946. It was used or to be used as a flying laboratory by Shell. The airplane reportedly went to the Babb Co. in 1949, and then exported to China in 1951. Here is the info off the FAA Registry site, clearly showing the airplane being exported to China, no doubt Nationalist China (Taiwan). Nothing further is known.
