Anybody know which P-51 this is?
Or This one....

The first one is Scott Smith's N5449V 44-73196 "Ge Ge II" later "Habu" air racer with Don Davis in which Earl Ketchen was killed many moons ago 7-15-84.
The 2nd is one of the Brit 51s possibly G-HAEC (?) used in Empire of the Sun.

Second one appears to be 44-63788, and as Jack said used in Empire of the Sun 1987.
Involved in fatal crash June 98 per Mustangs/Mustangs

Hi
I concur with wls3: it is indeed 44-63788 F-AZFI in "Empire of the Sun" colors - the number "699" on the tail is the identifier - G-HAEC had "788" and the nickname "Missy Wong from Hongkong"

While we're on the topic of unknown p-51's, does anyone know which 2 were in the "Band of Brothers" scene flying over the Aldborne base after the divisions return from Normandy? Or were they CGI? I'm almost certain they appeared in the "The Replacements" epidsode.
regards,
t~

Hmmm,
I was looking in the background of the first pic and I saw the Passion Wagon.
That Airplane was destroyed on Cape Cod in Massachusetts back in the late 80s
WOW, bad track record for those photo's.
