Harvard OY-IIB crash today

Sat Jun 18, 2005 11:47 am

It is with great sadness I have to report, that Harvard OY-IIB crashed today at 3pm during a practice flight at Karup Air Base. Both the pilot and the rearseat passenger were killed. The Harvard was flying a practise formation with a Norwegian Harvard in preparation for tomorrows RDAF airshow. Reportedly the aircraft entered a turn without sufficient airspeed resulting in a fatal stall leading to the crash.

Very sad news indeed. ID of the pilot has not been released yet, but I fear it was Arne Moesgård. No matter what, my thoughts are with the families of those that lost their lives.

The pilot has been confirmed as being Arne Moesgaard. A huge loss for his family and the Danish vintage and warbird scene.
