The Shuttleworth Collections second evening display of the year was blessed with superb weather.
Before flying began, Peter Teichmans Beech Staggerwing flew over the airfield. I assume the usual suspects were aboard?
The evening started with Fergy1 giving all a demonstration of how he is Billy Nomates
The 2 PT-22’s based at Old Warden gave yet another wonderful display. Anyone thought of forming a team?
A superb display in the Sopwith Triplane by Trevor Roche
Avro Tutor, looking wonderful in the evening sun.
The visiting Chipmunk and RV-4 gave impressive displays, piloted by Chris Kellerher and Justyn Gorman respectively. The Chipmunk display was a particularly fine example for aerobatic control for that aircraft.
The Southern Martlet and Nick Parkhouse in his Tipsy
The Hairyplane fleet (or at least part of it)
The Piston Provost reflects the sunset
By now it was getting very dark.
The Gladiator lands down the hill
The “modern” part of the show was closed by the merlin powered duo
Finally, when most sane people were safely tucked up in bed, the Edwardians were flown, even at this late hour the wind was gusting enough to make things interesting. Heres the Boxkite landing.
Another wonderful evening.
