By the way, I put pencil to paper and it looks like they are just $15,000 short of the needed amount! I bet we can help put a little dent in that amount!

I made a donation towards Devil Dog. Not much but glad I could help. Hope she gets back in the air soon! :D

I know my dad is excited to help the crew out again when they come back to Oshkosh. When they were up to remove the engine the other month my mom even stopped by and ended up getting dirty as well. It's cool to know my folks will have ties to Devil Dog even if it's just helping with some of the dirty work. It's all stuff that needs to be done and I know they really enjoyed what they've done so far.

I've heard third-hand (from a Blastard) that the Devil Dog is back home in Georgetown!

Just off the phone with Beth, THE DOG IS HOME!!!!!!!!!! She said they landed about 1pm at Georgetown, TX, after having to spend the night at KEOS (Neosho, MO). Lucky there was a hangar with room in it that was big enough for the Devil Dog to fit in, so she didn't get all the snow and sleet on her.

I heard that news crews, especially KXAN (36) in Austin was there to greet her, so those local to the Austin area need to be sure to watch the evening news! KXAN is the station that did a nice little feature on the Devil Dog a while back.

That is truly good news. Hope the DD crew can make more shows this year and that both engines keep ticking like they're supposed to!

They got home just in time too! The weather in Central Texas turned less than the best for flying today. We've had sleet and a few snow flakes off and on. More tomorrow and tomorrow evening! Good thing she got home and in her nice, safe, dry hangar!
