French Invaision of Oshkosh!

Mon Jun 20, 2005 9:41 pm

I just read in Air Classics(hold your tongues! ) that the French Squadron of the CAF is sending a contingent of 21 aircraft to Oshkosh, two of which are ex French Military Dassault MD312s(the rest being of the Civil Breed  ). According to the article they are scheduled to depart Paris on 18 July with an arrival date of 25 July at Wittman. As I will not be at Oshkosh(some day  ) does anyone know where they will enter the US? As it doesn't sound like any of these aircraft have the legs to fly a straight hop, I'm kind of hoping they clear customs at BIA!?

If it was printed in AC that the French Squadron of the CAf is sending those planes, well… Ac printed a lot of crap.
Not at all related to the CAF in any way. This all "invasion" is oragnised by french magazine Aviation & Pilote. And it happened that volunteer oragnsiation related to Dassault had in mind since a couple of year to fly some MD 312 twins over the North Atlantic to OSH. So they join the Cap sur Oshkosh operation organised by Aviation & PIlote.
