German pilot lost in WW2?

Thu Dec 17, 2009 10:24 pm

Joachim Ortenburger (26 September 1923 in Laurahütte, Schlesien, death registered 31 December 1945 in Pardubitz, Czech Republic after WWII). Joachim was a Military pilot & died in WWII.

Does anyone know if he was a German, Czech or Polish pilot and the circumstances of his loss? Trying to find out for a distant relative of mine.

Real diversification in that family...some in the Luftwaffe and Willard Richard Ortenburger in the RAF...interesting stuff.
