True dat....phenomenal book.....have already read it, fascinated by naval battles and this one was AMAZING....even includes the battleship actions the night before in Surigao straits....imagine the battle if Lee's fast battleships had been anywhere nearby or Oldendorf's old Pearl Harbor vets had been nearby....we would've had the pacific version of Jutland onhand....but amazing stuff nonetheless....

Oh....almost forgot....also got a subscription to Warbird Digest from my stepfather.....he's an old Hellcat driver from the USS Monterey himself....
