I'd go with a T28B.

I think I'd like the grey one with the yellow trim. It'd be pimpdaddied out with the GPS/NAV/MFD in both the front and back cockpits. It would be the whole boat with the traffic and weather functions too. That way my backseater can use the traffic function to be the RIO, so he can look for formation flying cats over the valley. It would half the dual flip flopping radios, front and back. I want an HSI, haven't used one yet, but it looks super bitchin, and being a VOR junkie, I'm pretty sure I'd dig it. Oh yea, VOR and ADF too. I like doing the crossing VOR thing, I think I can use one VOR and the HSI to do that. (I'm probably full of crap) I'll have to train the RIO to do it. I like pointing to a point on the chart, and crossing VOR's to get there.

Both cockpits would have a storage slot on the right for all of your flying junk. I'd have the spare little jump battery in the baggage compartment. I'd put the gun camera in it and put another camera head alongside it with the cable terminating inside with the svideo plug to put into a camcorder. I've looked, this will work. I would put the gunsite in it too.

And now the most important parts, artwork.

I would put the new most beautiul woman alive (Grace Park) in something lingereeish, somewhere above the exhaust smear. Maybe laying down and looking at me lovingly in the cockpit. I won't tell you guys the name of the plane, it's secret, and I don't want anyone stealing it. On the port side, under the canopy by the front seat, there would be the "I Love Me" wall. I'd have my pissant ranks from the Navy and Army on there. My Dolphins would be there. Three of the boats I went to sea on, I'd have their emblems there. I'd have my blue cord painted on, and my unit emblems. I might even have my stupid expert hand grenade little hanging thing painted on. I am kinda proud of that one.

Things I'm still contemplating....

Clear canopy, all around. This sounds cool, so that the RIO can get good pictures, even during large banks and rolls, but I'm still partial to leaving the green thing in so I don't get burnt to a crisp.

And more controversial, on the paint job......

I know it's already not right with the other stuff, but this goes a little farther

I'm thinking something non-existant, like VT-69, (I just like the conotation("Mommy whats 69?" Or "Mommy , is she naked?" "Orvis, you're an a$$hole"((makes me smile everytime I think about that)) ), or maybe the hull number of a boat. Then I can put USS SKATE underneath it, or USS INDIANAPOLIS, if I use that one it gives me an excuse to paint some checkered flags on it. Maybe USS TREPANG, but the sea cucumber thing aint that appealing.

Just one plane. Thats it. I didn't pick this plane because it might be possible before my eleventyfifth birthday. I picked it because it is the one, if it's only going to be one.

What your choice? Pimp it out. But only one. No second choices. No top fives. Just one.

Clipped wing Spit XII taken all the way back to the day it left the factory and joined 41 or 91 Squadron.

Not that I'm not predictable that way.

Okay,

For my "one plane", it would HAVE to be a P-47, fresh overhaul, mint condition. From actually being hands on one, to reading pilot history and the outright brute force design, nothing beats it. That and I also have read it is a very forgiving beast both on the ground and in the air.

Second choice...tough one. I'll let you guys make the call. Either a B-25 Mitchell (for hauling friends to airshows in of course), a mint F7F Tigercat for the shear joy ride that thing would give, or a PBY...because...why not go fishing in style right ???

B-17C complete with the "Mary-Ann" name.
Add John Garfield as the tail gunner.
:D

Although, I am partial to the P-39L....
