Hi everyone,

Not sure of the status of the CAF Storch. Any info would be appreciated!

Hi Steve can tell you what I know. When I turned the Storch in about 5 years ago, after we rebuildt the wing spar headquarters assigned the plane to the Deleware Valley Wing. One of their members came to get it (by himself) and after a couple of days he, Jim Fry, and myself got it loaded and off to New Jersey it went with dreams of having it back in the air "next Year". Heard that for over 5 years now and don't really know the "real scoop"

Thanks Wayne, I had been archiving footage from an openhouse at Stinson Fld in 93' and
it flew there several times. The L-1 was there too and I believe that now it's on display
in AK.

I think that was when we had the slow race with the L-1, don't remember if Randy Wilson or Larry Flynn was flying (I was Airboss so it wasn't me). Wish we still had those two around here. If the Storch comes up for reassignment I think I can find enough to sponsor her around here again.....or for sale if that comes up!

Correct on the slow race! I thought Randy flew it once but could be wrong. If you would
like a copy of the DVD PM me with address.

Would that be something that could be used on www.lbirds.com?

I'd certainly pitch something in. I wish we still had 'em, too!

I remember the first time I saw that aircraft, & was highly impressed with how slow that thing could fly, & it sure looked like nothing I had ever seen before!
