Is this at the Michiana Regional Airport or formerly known as the St Josephs County Airport?

Nice! I don't recall seeing an outdoor display that had simulated pilots in it before.

There has been two pilots trying to land the F4C at the Battleship Alabama for over 20 years ! They even managed to keep it on course through Hurricane Ivan and Katrina ! :D

Oh, I missed the Duster until you pointed it out! Might start a Duster thread later, AAA on an aviation board ;-)

I too love the M-42 guys! Sorry to get off topic, but here is the M-42 at the CAF Headquarters in Midland. I snapped this picture on my way out last Monday. Does it run by any chance?? She sure looks good!

Maybe the CAF needs to hire someone to get it running if it doesent.............I can always switch it from the MV side and hang a prop or two on the B-29.

Hense why I really like AMERICAN AERO SERVICES in Fla, they do both!!!! E-mail'd them one time about a job, if they were looking................never heard from them :(

Mind if I refer the boys at Com-Central (http://com-central.net/index.php?name=F ... forum&f=73) to this thread? Neil's been collecting pictures for the new AFV register and these might be of use to him :D

That Duster looks to be in good shape. I was told at the show a couple of years ago that it was to be restored, but don't know if it runs. Hope so!

There have been two pilots trying to land the F4C at the Battleship Alabama for over 20 years !

When I saw it in 2005, the pilot was apparently trying to reduce the lift by folding the wings (one of them, anyway.) Didn't work..last I heard the plane was still "on approach."

I was there about year and a half ago, and the F-4 was still there. They are working on rebuilding from everything, and they are doing pretty good. The battleship looked great, and the aircraft inside look beautiful. They had just finished an RF-8 and had a reunion of pilots that flew them.
