345th FS Devilhawks of the 350th to be specific. Can't recall the name off the top of my head, but taken by another Devilhawk Jug pilot.

The mix and match paint in the first image is due to some of the birds being recent replacements and not having time to finish off the artwork.

They took a lot of flak hits. As one Devilhawk pilot told me, if they didn't get hit by flak, they figured they weren't getting close enough to do the job right.

Just finished Bob Dorr's book "H e l l Hawks" on 365th FG...

great read..

Thanks to the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, I've had several conversations with He!! Hawk pilot Frank Luckman. "His" 'Bolt was named Lucky's Lady. Frank has been working on a book about P-47s and was hoping to be done this winter. I also had the privilege of viewing a couple of his great photo albums.
If you see a Camaro with PA license "T BOLT 3" passing you, wave at Frank.
