Man, I just about remember this. My mum and I were going to her friend's house (for some reason), and as we got in the door she came rushing to us and asked if we'd seen the news yet.

1985 and '86 were the years of death. In September of '85 a Cessna Caravan with 18 skydivers crashed right after take off and everyone died. I knew 12 of the 18. After that, two more skydiver/pilots were killed in a T-28 right after take off, two more good friends lost. Then one of our jump pilots was killed in a Beech 18, then Challenger, then a famous doctor I worked with at Emory University hospital crashed his Baron. Those two years were horrible .
