Ha Ha I know they don't owe us money. I don't think anyone owes us money anymore. Ha Ha However I am with him on wanting the P-61 back, and like I said before this aircraft was stolen. I hate to see it going down hill, not getting any care, and being held for ransom.

I think you mean captured. Doesn't the USAFM have a Mig-15 that was delivered by a defector? Sounds to me like they are perpetrators of accepting stolen property.

The P-61 was on a base, and armed soldiers from a country we were fighting for forced everyone to leave, leaving behind their aircraft. Sounds like stealing to me.

Also the Mig was offered back to the rightful owner. The USAF got no reply.

While I do agree they stole it, if it wasn't stolen I doubt it would even exist today. We only preserved two of them as it is. I believe it would have been scrapped just like the countless others. I sure am glad the MAAM managed to recover the one they did.

BDK if you really want to get into this, you are not saying the same thing that took place. You are saying that if you stole a car and gave it back would it be stealing? The answer is yes. BUT The USAF did not steal the MIG did they? A representative of the North Korean Air Force presented it to the USAF. Right? He stole it. The USAF offered it back after they studied it, and asked if the rightful owner would please claim it. No one stepped up to to claim it. Therefore it was abandoned.

To make it the same as what you are saying the USAF would have to go to North Korea, order all of the stall of an air base off the property, and then take one of their aircraft and put it on outdoor display for 60 years and not touch it. Of course all of this during peace time.

Regardless of stolen or not. I bet almost any one of the B-25/A-26 owners/operators out there would not only trade there twin engine aircraft for this P-61, but they'd pay for the gas to ferry her to China too!

Haha bdk I know man. It's all good. I was having a bit of fun with it. I wonder if there is any chance this one will fly again. We got one at Dayton, one in Nasm that are static. This one and maam's should fly.
