Museo Aeronáutico's news!!

Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:57 pm

Hi everybody!! First of all, many thanks to all those who have expressed their interest on my country's situation, as well as my family (everybody is OK) and the preserved aircraft. In relation th this point I have excellent news: I visited Museo Aeronáutico and it had neither the buildings nor the aircraft damaged! :drinkers:
It was amazing to discover that all aircraft were complete and the sole damages were suffered by offices, on the library only a shelf with books fell down but there were no other damages.

Many thanks again, for your interest!

That is good news all the way around. Such a huge quake is a scary thing. Updated building codes DO save lives. Still a lot of casualties, damage and loss. Thoughts and prayers are with the folks down there.

Really glad to hear that your family is ok... it must be extremely difficult for you all though. Pleased to hear that the museum was spared, but that is really an afterthought all things considered. Take care, and good luck!

Not well reported that I am aware of is the devastating tsunami that hit the coastline of Chile shortly after the quake. The news I heard seemed to focus on other countries where there was little to no damage.
