I helped someone get moved down to florida, I wanted to see the 8th AF museum in Savannah when we stopped there for the night at a hotel. Little did I know, I stayed one exit north of the museum, but managed to catch this shot of the B-47 as I was rolling down the highway in a 26 foot moving truck.

I tried to get in Fantasy of Flight in Kissimme, but arrived to late to pay the $30 for admission and enjoy it. I did however see my first Constellation in real life. The paint is in real bad shape.

The PBY Catalina is one of my favorites, was able to see one in person for the first time while it was parked out side of the maintenance hangar.

I was walking in the mall nearby and I saw an elderly gentleman with a USS Franklin hat on. I walked 20 steps before I turned around to thank him for his service. he told me how he was off the coast of Okinawa when a kamikaze hit his boat and blew him off the top deck, where he was loading bombs on an airplane, into the water, then later had to go below to carry his dead friends to the elevator to be piled up like wood after they died from the kamikaze. He turns 85 in October, I wished him a wonderful birthday with many more to come. Fascinating story and I was glad to hear it.

Finally, there is a DC-3 in the everglades that I'm trying to get information on. Here is a link that another pilot took of the DAK: http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/your- ... shots.html Otherwise, here's the coordinates: 27.00.06 N 81.34.12 W . I couldn't get it off of google earth.
