One of the B-17's is up today. Too far away to ID, but that lovely rumble is a Spring welcome! :D

Saw a funny looking speck in the distance, so grabbed the binocs off the dash and took a peek. Witchcraft! Oh yeah, the CF is in town, aren't they? :D

Yeah, can't be too careful - a B-17 buzzin' around here might by 909, T-Bird or Raiders. Sheesh, the air is getting positively cluttered with those old things!

Someone should call the Global Warming Cops with all that big iron buzzing around!

909, Witchcraft, The P-51, and Huey are all at Ellington until Wed afternoon. We move to Houston Executive, between Brookshire and Katy, Wed afternoon and will be there until we move to Sugarland on Friday afternoon. We'll spend the weekend in Sugarland, leaving for Rockport, Monday afternoon.

We also have the Houston aircraft on display at Ellington.

It was a lovely sight on Saturday evening to see GG arc overhead to join up on final for 12R at SAT.

I didn't actually *see* this, but. . .

Last night about 2240 CDT, as I was getting ready for bed, some kind of multi-engined heavy recip aircraft flew over the house, not too low, but low enough to get a firm grasp on my attention. I foolishly ran to the nearest window and looked out, but I didn't see anything. I'm guessing it was probably a DC-3 type. Didn't sound like R-2800s (such as a Twin Convair) or smaller engines like a Twin Beech.

I never get tired of the sweet music that radial engines make. . . :D

KUHF radio had a nice little blurb about the tour at 5:30 yesterday...Huey beating in the background, ride prices, and a bit
from Tom Collings about the bombers. Pity about the rain today, but looks like ya'll will be in better shape tomorrow. :(

FHC flew the Storch today, and I saw what looked like a T-33 but couldn't see the colors so I'm not sure if it was Boeings.

boy.., growing up in S. Texas.., those skies certainly look familiar.

Right then.., you would just be hit by a strong cool breeze that smelled like fresh rain and hear the distant rumbling of thunder.., followed by a silence.., then some more rustling and breezy.., then BOOM!!!!!!!.. do not get much of those up here.., i miss thunderboomers!!!!!

Keep them tied down boys!!!
