Now there's a smart man who knows warbirds. Remember - the aircraft you are working on today is making history. All warbirds do not have to start with the letters B-, P-, etc.

Aside from helicopters I would think the last amphibian airplane would be the HU-16 Albatross.

John you are absolutely right. The key word I used in the question was "aircraft" which includes several types of flying machines. If I used the work "airplane" then the fixed wing would be the right answer. Thanks.
