Alright all you WIX Warbirdians out there. Well after 5 long years the aviation event of this year is nearly at our doorstep! Yes sir, here in that little postage stamp of a state we call Connecticut. So I like to get a head count from the boards here of who will be able to make it for this awesome show!

Also I believe there might be a WIX gathering at a very special and historically significant watering hole one of the nights, so stay tuned.

Actually, I know of several WIX'ers who said they'd be going.
i was hoping we might set a meeting time for a group photo and maybe later have a few drinks over at the Windsock (aka: the old Vought-Sikorsky Ops Shack).

Maybe.

There's a good race at Lime Rock that weekend too.

Decisions, decisions.

Okay. Was at the CASC today finalizing some things and trying to figure out last minute details for our display booth that will be at the show. Lots to do and not enough people to do it. :| But its coming along and we should be ready come Friday.

"Skyboss" (the local Corsair that we know all too well round these parts) flew in today for a press meet n' greet and will gave the local newspapers and stations some good footage in advance, so there not rushing to put somthing out by Saturday of the show.

Met some new faces involved with the show and some older ones like Nick Manerio.

Just got off the air with Matt Jolley (What a Treat!) and was able to promote the Corsairs over Connecticut show! If anyone wants to hear me ramble on here's the link to Warbird Radio: http://www.warbirdradio.com/shows/warbi ... live-show/

Hopefully we'll get some more people to go to the show from the broadcast. For all who are already planned I'll see you there!

Happy airshow day to everyone!
We are at FRG this morning, for the Jones Beach show, and something interesting happened last night.
I got up off the chair in my hotel room, to see if there was anything going on on the airport. There Was!
Marines Dream, The Corsair, had just landed. (7:00pm) The engine quit and a small fire started in the tailpipe.
The girl in the tower saw this and rolled all the fire equipment and diverted other traffic.
While cranking the engine, the pilot got a little of the extra fuel to come out the tailpipe in a ball of fire, and the girl in the tower responded with a...

"Do not try to start your engine, its on fire!"

The engine started and the tailpipe fire was out, he taxiied off the runway and into the ramp followed by the fire equipment.

See you all Sunday!
