Unknown Airframe at Essex Skypark, MD

Mon May 24, 2010 7:40 pm

A question from the Colonel;

Hi All,
The Col. again, I was out at the Essex Skypark and while checking out the local based Stearman I came across this unknow wreckage not sure what it is maybe some of our Wix experts can guess. Also while I was walking around the local Security Cat was on patrol not sure what he was looking for
maybe trying to keep those pesky N3N off the airport.

Yep that is a BT-13, SNV1 frame. I was once told that when the BT-13's were sold off after the war a lot of the new owners removed the rear seat and controls and put in a bench seat so they could fly two people in the back.
