hey Ryan,

Yeah I am pretty much ameture I guess. :oops: :mrgreen: But doing historical research like on us-aircraft.com I can come up with a picture of how something was and or could have been. The P-40 is my favorite. Yeah perhaps I am bias but I really do take all that I have read and researched and I come up with a picture much different then what most people give to the P-40.

Quite the contrary. I'm saying that the P-40 is very similar in performance to the Mustang - something not often alluded to. I wasn't bashing the P-40 at all, I'm merely saying that for two roughly equivalent airframes, the experience and training of the pilots will often determine the victor in the dogfight, that's all.


Oh no warbird1. Sorry I didn't mean that you were bashing the P-40. No hard feelings sir. :D

All in good fun Nathan! I AM quite curious what the whole point of the original post was... seems like it's not very fair to tease like that without details OR pictures. Oh, and one L-5 is better than TWO original P-51s OR P-40s! :mrgreen: (Ask me to explain that one! :shock: :lol:)
