Having spent all morning moving the Corsair back to the CASC and towing 2 sets of Air stairs back and cleaning up .... Yada Yada. All I can say is Jerry and the whole crew (cast of characters) put on one helluva show and all the CASC members were impressed. It was great getting to make friends with Tim and the C-54 Crew, really great guys. Also a very special thanks to the Guys at Three Wing Aviation, you really made my life easier this past week.
Overall the Air And Space Center generated over $2800 in donations to help with our restoration of the Startford Pole Queen and honestly, without this show we could have never hoped to generate such a diverse and great crowd of people. A BIG Thanks to everyone who stopped by and checked out our booth.

that top pick is of me and a corsair pilot. He was a helldiver pilot before that. I asked him about that dreaded plane and he stated," Well, I did the Navy a favor and sent one 2,000 feet down to the ocean floor on a take off one time."

Frank;
Thanks for helping out. It looks like you really enjoyed it.
Too bad it was so much work!

On the web at Doing It Local. Com

Jerry, it was a real honor to be there for that event. My back was crippled and my feet were on fire. That hot sun burned through my flight suit, and i was weighed down with gear which felt like 500 pounds towards the end but you know what? I'd never give up that weekend for anything! And thank you for mentioning me and my collection when you were calling the show, that meant a lot to me.

Yeah that landing was pretty hairy. He practically did a Carrier landing approach and turned onto 24!
