HELP NEEDED AT BOULDER SAT FOR WARBIRD, YOUNG EAGLE FLIGHTS

Fri Jun 18, 2010 12:14 pm

This Sat, tomorrow, 6-19, is airport day at the Boulder airport.

Paul Gordon and I are doing YOUNG EAGLE rides for kids. WE REALLY NEED ONE OR TWO MORE PLANES TO HELP DO THE FLIGHTS. Please if you can volunteer your plane, any kind, for a few flights, doesn't have to be a warbird; or anything fancy. Just land there by 9 am and come to the table by the terminal entrance to volunteer. This is a great thing for kids and the EAA and aviation in general. I did it last year and it is fun and went great. I'll buy lunch. You can try to phone the office, 303 441-3108 or the FBO 303 449 4210, but the best thing is just to be there. If you don't have a plane, but want to help, come on out and we can usually use an extra hand.

Eric from APA, is doing Stearman rides, so that is a great warbird thing to enjoy. They may need a hand for ground ops also.

There are a number of other flying and static displays, and rides, all day from 9am till afternoon. There are food/drink concessions. There is a dance in the hangar at 7pm, was well attended last year.
Thanks, Bill G
