Greetings all,

interesting to note that I almost don't see any modeler from Japan and this is a little strange. How many modeling forums from Japan exist today?

Cheers :)

You know, you're right..I never really noticed it. Plastic modeling is certainly far more popular in Japan than most of the rest of the world, but Japanese modelers don't seem to have much of a web presence, at least among the worldwide modeling community. Of course, it may be cultural..there may be a lot of Japanese modeling forums that are unknown outside Japan, simply because of the language barrier.

Thank you for reply mate :) I have remember that in early '90, when I have received few numbers of Model Art magazine (really top publication) that there was always pages cover with club events, small club show and competition. And there was so much of this happenings every month. In this moment I can not remember name, but this is person excellent informed about the modeling situation in Japan, and he told me that expansion of Internet caused that modelers simply does not go to clubs but communicate through forums. And when try to find any... no way.

Cheers :)

Maybe they actually build models instead of filling their closets with boxes and posting on forums :D I'm guilty!

i feel that japanese model building is booming. the multi series koku fan books have beyond excellent & detailed , as well as rare pics!! the japanese are rabid buyers of their nation's ww2 air memorabilia.
