Greetings
As you all know Hurricane Season is in full swing.
I understand that they (The Weather Service) predicting that at least three Cat 4+ are most likely to make land fall Texas looks like to be the Prime Target ...........Dose anybody know if there are plans in General (Warbird Family) to make sure that all can be moved out of storms way ? I seem to remember that Thunderbird and some other were in Addison at Cavanauls Museum during Ike. Would Raiders and the Tora Gang Be Safe at Hooks Field ? The Collins Foundation correct me if I am wrong has some birds based at Ellington Field.
I know that in some cases that the Hanger Queens cannot be moved .

What is the latest on the Lone Star Flight Museum......are most of the planes that were damage from Ike getting the TLC that they need . As Always thanks in advance to all that respond.

Not sure about how warbirds are going to be secured in a storm but think what a major hurricane would do to all that oil floating around in the gulf. Not only would a museum like Lone Star suffer damage as it has before but the entire collection could be left covered in oil. Lets pray that major storms steer clear of where they are trying to stop the flow of oil.

I though the oil was there for corrosion control.....

In all seriousness I hope I never have to see the destruction I saw at Lone Star. Let's hope that the storms stay clear, although I figure it will probably another late season for the major storms.

....... isn't that what Douglas Bader said to Adolf Galland while over the English Channel?

Just kidding, hopefully this year's season will be uneventful or that everyone will be able to get out of harm's way.
