New line of warbird T-shirts debuts at Oshkosh

Sat Jun 26, 2010 12:12 am

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick note to let you know that we will be offering a new line of T-shirts with great warbird designs created by fellow WIX'er and amazing graphic artist, Django. The shirts debut at AirVenture, 26 July - 1 August, 2010.

The designs feature your choice of the P-40, P-38, P-51, Corsair, B-25, and Spitfire, printed in multi-colors on high-quality black or navy-blue shirts. (See photo below).

We created these awesome shirts in conjunction with the new warbird display area at Oshkosh which is named, appropriately-enough, "Warbird Alley."

The artwork is directly inspired by WWII victory posters, and features the airplanes in action poses that emphasize dynamic motion and speed, reminding us that these were fighting machines, not static displays.

We invite you to visit the EAA PX shop (located adjacent to the Warbird area) and get your Warbird Alley shirt. See you there!

Here's a sneak peek:

We're actually debuting them at Oshkosh, but I'll work on getting online ordering set up shortly. Thanks for your kind words!

Sweet! I'm sick of overdesigned shirts and these are just perfect! Any way to see the other designs? I need to start saving up.

Well, I'm not an old timer, but I'm glad someone else things along those lines! I have way too many T-shirts, none of which I wear flying because I always wear a shirt with a pocket.

Thanks guys, and thanks to Buck for awarding me the project and the kind words! It was a real blast to get to do some aircraft instead of hot rods for a change!

I think the B-25 turned out pretty sweet. 8)

Oh, and the Corsair is a birdcage model. 8)

The B-25 is indeed very cool!

Since it seems there is a chance now that the birdcage Corsiar could be rescued from the Lake, I thought I'd post the Corsair shirt...
