Does anyone out there have this book? What are your thoughts on the book? I am looking for some good references on flying gear from the 1950-1960s, particularly in regards to Naval Aviation. Any other good references out here that you would recommend for Naval Aviator related gear from the 1950s-50s era?
Thank you, Ryan

Hi Ryan,
I don't have that book, but I do have "United States Combat Aircrew Survival Equipment", subtitled "WW II to the Present A Reference Guide For Collectors" by Michael S. Breuninger. This is a good book for showing a wide variety of aircrew flight gear and what goes in all the pockets on the survival vests for example. About the only negatives on it are that the pictures are all in black and white and some pictures are kind of small sometimes and so it's hard to pick out small details. Helmets and parachutes are out of the scope of this book, but it does have some ejection seat survival packs/kits.
You should be able to find it on Ebay or Amazon for about $25 or so. Hope this helps,
-Derek
