I was asked to to see if I might be able to get any information to go along with these details that I was provided with (aircraft type/pilot info/time frame)
Aircraft serial # 44-14675 5MM
10th PRG
15th TRS
Furth, Germany
Pilot Leland Larson

Any help is appreciated.
Cheers
Gary

According to Joe Baugher's website, 44-14675 is a P-51D-10-NA Mustang.

Don't know if this helps any, but hope so.

Cheers,
Richard

P-51D-10-NA 44-14675 was converted to F-6D standard - 5M-M was the code assigned to the aircraft (5M = 15th TRS, M = individual aircraft letter)

Initially this aircraft was assigned to Lt. Henry Lacey and nicknamed "Nancy"; later it was reassigned to Lee Larson, who removed the previous nickname and flew the a/c unnamed.

The aircraft was reclaimed / scrapped on 30th March 1948.

the 15th TRS was based at Fürth, Germany during Spring 1945.

I am sure I have a photo of this ship somewhere.

Regards
Martin
