Any Warbird activities in Bozeman, Montana?

Tue Jul 27, 2010 10:34 pm

I'm going to Bozeman, MT for vacation and to see my son. Are there any warbird-worthy things to see near by?
Thanks.

There are two F-100's sitting on the "hobby shop" side of the airport, along with a T-33. They all have the old Flight Systems paint. They flew the T-33 when we were there about a month ago with the bombers. There is also a beautiful BT-13 on the same side of the airport. Other than that not alot going on.

Jim,
Can you confirm that the two F-100s are N416FS and N419FS please? What are the identities of the T-33 and BT-13?
Finally, how long have all these aircraft been at Bozeman?
Best wishes,
Andy

I'm sorry Andy, I didn't get the tail numbers of the F-100's or the BT. I do know that he owns 4 F-100's and 2 of those are kept elsewhere (undisclosed). The T-33 is N305FS.

Wow! That gives me something to do when I get out there!
F-100's and a BT. I'll see what I can find out!

not aircraft related, but if you are into old cars there is a yard full of 1920's-1970's vintage metal (all for sale) at Montana Classic Cars just outside of Bozeman; here's some pics I took a few weeks back:

Yup, that cracked me up as well! Couple of other interesting specials/customs in there, as well as what might be a real 4spd SuperBee (no vin tag though).

Very cool place!
