You may aware of the project I refer to as the Locator (see my e-signature below). I recently released a complimentary database to help maintain the Locator database which I simply call the Airframes Database. The primary purpose is to track the movement of airframes between display locations including changes of ownership, etc and to allow people to collaborate on the documentation of airframe histories including photo uploads. One hidden feature of this tool is the ability to import data from civil registries. This is a semi-automatic feature where I download weekly the data files from the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand registers, then re-upload them to my site where they are processed. The moving of the files is manual, but the scripts do all the heavy lifting of scanning though the files and updating the database.

Anyway... usually every Monday or Tuesday I download the files and run the scripts. I have done that this week, so the register changes for last week are
now available. To view the report go to...
http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeRep ... tivity.php
...The same page will allow you to look-up the current week, as well as past weekly reports.

Items which might be of particular interest this week include activity with; a DH-89, a DC-6, a Goose, a T-33, a F-84, a Harvard 4, etc. You will also note that an An-2 is reported as having changed hands. I believe this is the airframe to be used to retrieve a P-38 from Greenland.

I look forward to any comments you may have. I am always looking for ideas that may make these features better. For example if anyone know where I can go to find FAA accident reports on-line that would be fantastic.

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

While the FAA is often involved with US-registered aircraft accident
investigations, the NTSB is tasked with creating and archiving accident
reports for US-registered aircraft.

Here's the link to the NTSB Aircraft Accident Database query form:

My mistake. Thanks for the correction.
