Corsair ; fire wall forward

I would like to start with a big thumbs up to John Lane for his Corsair restorations. In a word....AWESOME.

Just wanted to post a couple of pics of the engine accessory area of 92106 & 92489, both restored by John. Found it interesting how they differ to a degree (both are excellent).

BuNo 92489 lacks intercooler ducts and the supercharger duct also has a different cross section. I'm guessing due to engine selection. The accumulator set-up is also different (missing on KD431).

I've also included a pic of KD431 from the Fleet Air Arm Museum for comparison.

Having spent time working around a corsair for 10 years when CWH had their's, it was the same as KD431. The hydraulic resrvoirs look totally different from what I see in the photos. Could it be a system enhancement for safety? Looks like a modern horizontal accumulator in the one photo.
Hard to say for sure from the photos.
