This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hey Chris - I agree..I think Ron would be all for a photo shoot especially if Bob gets the new one down here, which he probably will at some point, at least for the winter. I just don't think we'll see 57 race at Reno.
Haven't been out to the hangar in ages, I'm afraid to go look at the dust on Waco and T-6, 'course with all the humidity, it may be mud now.
I have some work on the -3 to do, hopefully I'll see ya at the CAF.

I hope that doesn't mean together under the same owner. Nothing against Mr. Pratt but I would hope that #74 stays out and about for people to see and enjoy.

Nope. 74 being built for a different owner but you never know what may happen. Mr Pratt is not opposed to flying his planes if their is a good reason to do so. Several of the Tuskeegee airmen and their families were given rides in Red Dog. He's a good guy and has done a ton for charities, just intensly private.

There is no doubt that he is a good guy, but it's a crying shame that unless you live near the airport in AZ, you will never see Race 57, or Red Dog in the air again.

Sorry about that Tim but that's true with a lot of warbirds.

Wow. I have missed this thread and restoration completely! How close is this F2G to flight? What is the other Corsair in the background?

Chappie, it should be this one, owned and being restored by the Odegaard's:
http://warbirdregistry.org/corsairregis ... 81857.html...and as an aside, the photos on the Odegaard Aviation page were originally posted last summer, so one can only guess at the progress that has been made on both airframes since then.
