This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hey Seabee, I agree Saturday was a TERRIFIC Day at Thunder Over Michigan! You mentioned most of the highlights of the day, but I was surprised you didn't mention what had to be one of the greatest vintage warbird highlights of the show: the first appearance at TOM of the
very rare and highly
elusive F-100F Super Sabre owned and flown by Dean Cutshsall. The F-100 made some terrific passes including some afterburner passes. I have been trying to see this rare beauty for several years and really enjoyed finally seeing it in action.
All in all a great day and a great weekend in Michigan. I look forward to next year's show.

I can't believe that I omitted the F-100 either. That is a beautiful airplane and a complete joy to watch AND hear.
I wish I was able to attend both days of the show...oh well maybe next year...I hear the Blues will be back to help celebrate 100 years of Naval Aviation. I'll bet the Navy warbirds will be very busy next year attending shows.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of the men and women who worked to make the show such a great time. From the air boss to the guy who emptied trash cans, everyone seemed to do such an amazing job.
Also wanted to say thanks to the Horseman crew that I got to chat with that were just so very cool. Same goes to the CAF and the Collings Foundation who were able to bring not one aircraft but 2 or 3. You guys should all be proud of what an amazing and memorable event you all made possible. I watched one of the CF pilots cleaning down the Mustang while being kind enough to make time to talk with the general public.
Also want to thank my roomates for the trip Zachary and his son Wyatt, Tim, and Rob, along with all of the other WIXers I got to meet and hang out with. Once again you guys made the trip special. Thanks again.

Also wanted to add my thanks to everyone involved with Thunder over Michigan. All the Yankee Volunteers and the like. It was a truly amazing show!!!
One more thank you goes to all of you might have stopped by the Desert Rat/Lucky Thirteen Booth. We appreciated it!
Anyone know what next years theme will be?

Next years theme will be Navy, since it's the 100th anniversary. From what I hear so far, it's going to be an amazing show.

2011 looks to be interesting with Navy as a theme. I think the heritage flight should be Sub Hunters though - R4D-6S, TBM, S-2, S-3, P2V, P-3, P-8
