Spitfires at Flying Legends

Some more of my photos from Duxford earlier this month. This time, the Spitfires.
The last time together for the red-and-silver 41 sqn pair, the week after the show TD248 entered the paintshop, and is due to emerge in a late-war 2nd TAF scheme any day now.
The ex-Chino contra-rotating Griffon 58-powered PR.XIX from France.
Up where they belong..........
...and back down to earth.
And if you think that 8 Spitfires in the air together is impressive, at the September Duxford show they're aiming for 18 Spitfires and 6 Hurricanes flying in formation to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Once again Sir....OUTSTANDING photo's. I especially like that Spitfire with the Griffon engine and contra-rotating props. Very unique aircraft. I am, as am others I imagine, seeing what other photo's yuou may grace us with when they have the show in Duxford with the 18 Spitfires and 8 Hurricanes. Now THAT would be a sight to see indeed !!
