I have an odd question.....Were any of the F4U-7 Corsairs built delivered to the US Navy or Marines for testing or anything of that sort?
I have never been able to track down any photographs of -7 Corsairs wearing US insignias. Would be interesting to see. Anybody have or know of any?

Nope, they were "French Only" aircraft. The French did take deliver of a number of US Marine AU-1 Corsairs for a period of time prior to receiving their F4U-7's. These AU-1 "loaner" Corsairs were the only ones I know of that served with both France and the United States.
