This is my first attempt at posting on WIX, I am an avid B-25 enthusiast and began my love affair when I was seven years old.
I have hopefully attached images of my Grandfather's B-25G (modified D Model) after it crashed in Libya.

As I stated above my affair began when I was seven years old and my Grandfather took me to see a B-25 that was at the Two Guys from Patterson Army Navy Store as I was very young anyone have any details on this B-25?

Thank you guys for all the updates, corrections, additional photos and info, and comments. I always learn more than enough from the responses to these photo posts to make them worth the effort. I'll try to pick another type and do another one soon.

First of all, thanks to all the people who have shared their old photos of these Mitchells. Just cool to see so many different schemes of civilian B-25s.

However, here are a couple of photos which are quite interesting. Personally I don't give a monkeys #%¤& about the "tramp stamps" the CAF puts on their airplanes, but a lot of people here gives it a lot of grief. This blatant advertisement doesn't get any stick though. I wonder why...

33. One of the more attractive B-25s in 1987 was 44-86893, with John Stokes.


34. Here's a closeup of 44-86893 with her nose art and name The Fairfax Ghost. Today she flies the Red Bull colors in Austria.

I miss the Ghost!! Grew up with this aircraft while it was here in Kansas City. This aircraft opened my eyes to warbirds when I was 12. My dad would drag my brother, sister, and I over to Richard Gebaur AFB every other weekend to work on the plane. I remember one time got to fly on the Ghost to Joplin MO for a show and Col Travis Hoover (pilot of the 2nd plane off the USS Hornet) flew the airplane. One of the best memories I have. Great group of guys kept that plane flying.

Plus I have a special place for the B-25 as my great grandmother helped build the B-25 at the Fairfax Plant during the war.

Compare that picture with my avitar. That is Iron Laden Maiden. She was a TB-25N that we flew out of Lawton Airport, Lawton, OK. She was owned by Tommy Thomas and was part of the Mid America Air Group (MAAG). Awesome A/C. She is now non-flying at the Liberal Air Museum.

Yes I know, but the question still stand. Did those who b!tch about the CAF stickers today have the same very vocal opinion about this one back in 2005? Or is it easier to stick it to an organization rather than an individual owner?
