Went back over to Pensacola today and with luck the new hangar door was open. Here is what it
hung in there so far. Note all shot from the parking lot as access is not permitted yet. Enjoy, Joh

Apparently, no one there has ever been to NASM or several other aviation museums where suspended aircraft are shown in poses other than anally aligned in level flight, looks like the giant from Jack and the beanstalks bedroom ceiling. Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-

Hey, if it gets more airframes indoors for the near term then I'm all for it. Nothing's written in stone as far as how the museum configures its aircraft, but exposure to the elements waits for no man.

Pssst.....More aircraft are coming indoors and are being preserved. I'm a. Happy guy about that. By the most museums do hang their aircraft wings level. The NASM only has a few that are not. NMNA, great job. Carry on!

Umm... where do you see an aircraft "anally aligned in level flight" in there? Looks to me like other than MAYBE the UH-1E, they're all either climbing, descending, or (in the case of the Harrier and HO4S) beginning transition into forward flight. If they wanted them "anally aligned", then they'd all have their flaps and/or gear up.
