Could be Oscar Duece, but I know of an OV-10 that spent 5 years flying with the different special ops squadrons over the trail before we pulled them out and it was sent to Korea. Haven't had a chance to look at the logs yet.

Is that OV-10 still flying? I know of only 1-2 civilian Ov's flying!

we left in the O2-A and the Navion from MAPS Friday about 1500 local when the weather was clear enough. A very nice flight!
Thanks for the compliment on the plane. I am trying to verify, but 3000 hours + of combat time may make 862 one of the highest combat time vets flying today!
Do you remember 3 guys asking how long of a flight it was to ToM? If that was Scott, Broken-Wrench and myself. Oh well, missed out on a WIX greeting.

Oscar Duece, yes it is still flying. Don't recall mentioning that it was civilian. No it's not a CDF or State Dept. bird.

The O-2s went up on Sunday afternoon and made several passes. The Avengers also went up on Sunday as well.
If I were to compare both days, I would say that there was more variety of flying on Sunday than there was on Saturday. They filled in a few of the lulls from Saturday with more flights on Sunday.

Great,
My dad had 2 surgeries recently, and Saturday was about all he could handle. I'm Glad the O2's TBM's and all filled the gaps on Sunday. Sorry I missed that!
Rick, I assumed it was civilian. There are so few not in Gov't hands. The FAC Museum/Broncho Association recently got one. Maybe someday it will fly. We can hear an OV-10 do a "NailBreak" at ToM!

do you know any nails? I worked on Nail32 s private airplane!

I've had the priviledge of visiting with Nails, Coveys, Rustics and even a few Ravens. Darryl Whitcomb is probably the most well known.

Yes,
I know a few Nails.
Raven 20 flew my O2 as Boron 01, and fleww with me a few years ago. It was 33 years since his last flight in 862.
The yahoo group facnet seems to be where they hang out the most.
