P-51 Gathering at Reno in 2006??

Any WIX Readers know of the exact dates of the P-51 Gathering scheduled for for June 2006 at Reno. Iv'e checked the website several times and it just says June. Any specific dates would assist me in my planning. thanks in advance

Word is this event has been postponed

I received an email this morning from the Reno information center and they inform me that the P-51 gathering has been postponed, maybe 2007 . Sad news, wonder why the website is still up?

Please be patient and don't worry, the Gathering will happen. When new information is confirmed, it will be posted on the major forums. Sorry, but that's all that can be released for now.

Will it happen this year or is more likley to be "next year" It does take some planning for those that have a considerable distance to travel, any help provided will be appreciated.

Hmm....I'm super excited about this, and a little upset at first, but 2007 might work out better for me as the old date is 2 weeks before my wedding! Yeah, it would be tight for the 2006 show......so we'll wait and see i guess. Go Mustangs!

It seems strange that the P-51 Gathering website is still showning a 2006 date. Given the number of people that gain airshow and event information through this forum, you would think that the webmaster would amend the website so that others don't become confused, lke me! I shall attend no matter when it is, would just like to know what date to plan for.

I talked to Angela at Stallion 51 yesterday. She is the one that told me that it was postponed until 2007. She said the tentative dates would be June 14-17, but that that could change. She said the website would be updated in the next few weeks. I didn't ask, nor did she offer, why the event was postponed.
