OK,
Here's one for you lovers of warbirds down south and BT's in particular.
We had this BT-13 which came with 12 PAF AT-6s Boss Jim bought a few years back. I don't have the s/n but has you can see it's PAF #0051.
It was sold about 6-7 years ago but I don't remember the chaps name. From back east maybe. JCWs dad wanted him to buy and rebuilt it. He some how got outa of that deal.

208 was owned by my friend Ken Morley for many years. I not only had the pleasure of flying with Ken on a number of occasions, but also in a number of formation flights with JCW flying Ken's wing in Texan Flight.

Hi Jack,

Indeed, a very nice photograph of AT-6, '208'. Are you the current owner of this beautiful aircraft? If so, could you indicate the ex-USAAF serial number (or BuNo.) and/or it's construction number? Or it’s current 'N' number?

Thanks very much.

Amado

Jack:

I'd like to second the request of our colleague FAH 503. Feel free to share our photograph with K. Morley. We have a few others on the same aircraft with HAF colors for his historical records. Plz pm us for details.Tks

Perhaps Mr. Morley knows the whereabouts of FAH 202-FAH 211 also. Tks

FAH 503/Honduran AF Museum Folks:

p.s Welcome to the big leagues again!

C/w.com and fellow Wixers would like to know what is your next Plan of Attack (POA) concerning the restoration/preservation of the P-63E in this 2005?

We already know that budgets are tight and the price of gas is going up ...any chance to place this aircraft at least under cover? P-63E Buff/FAH619®

To answer some questions put to me re FAH 208.
It is T-6G s/n 51-14919 N27817
Ken Morley sold it 3 years ago to a fellow in eastern Washingto Randy ________? who barnstorms rides in it!
The art work is Rosie Wreck'em with a painting of Rosie the Riviter.
I'll look for a shot of that. The 208 was kept on just for the h*ll of it. When Ken talked on the R/T he always said
"North American 208" and skipped the N-number.

Hi Jack,

Thanks very much for the very interesting information. It is nice to know this magnificent warbird is still flying.
The ex-USAAF serial number 51-14919 seems to be a typo, I'm afraid.

According to our records, a North American AT-6G, serial number 51-14916, c/n 182-603, was acquired by the Honduran Air Force on March 9, 1956 (with 5 other AT-6Gs), and was registered FAH 208.
We understand this particular aircraft and other AT-6Gs (51-14314/15237, c/n 182-1/824; 15138/15237 c/n 188-1/100), were remanufactured aircraft from earlier AT-6s (most to FMS).

Following is information from the WRG, Warbird Registry:
Serial #: 51-14916
Construction #: 182-603
Civil Registration: N27817
Model: T-6G
Name: None
Status: Unknown
Last info: 2002
History:
Delivered to FA Honduras as 208, 19??.
Gordon Plaskett/ B & G Aero, King City, CA, Dec. 1982.
- Registered as N27817.
- Delivered from Tegucigalpa AB, Honduras to CA, circa 1983.
Jerry Rector, Big Cabin, OK, 1986.
Jack Lowry, Chino, CA, 1992.
J. Ken Morley, Winlock, WA, Apr. 27, 1993-2000.
Randal L. Niessner, Royal City, WA, Nov. 3, 2000-2002.

Aircraft N27817 (51-14916) is currently registered to a Randal L. Niessner, from Royal City, WA (FAA Registry).

Cheers,

Amado

Hi Jack,

No problem, it happens to most of us, quite frequently to say the least.

Cheers,

Amado
