I must have been 10 when I was strolling through the local video store and my eyes found this:

Needless to say I was intrigued. I remember asking my dad if we could rent it, and of course he said no. lol So I finally decided to do a little research on the internet here and in a matter of like 10 minutes I found what I was looking for. So does anyone else remember this movie? Looks like they used a real B-29 for some of the filming. Any info or inside knowledge of this movie would be appreciated.

Of course somebody has already put the entire movie of youtube. Enjoy

Is it just me, or could you see this movie getting remade with all the cheesy B movie esthetics?

I understand Fifi was used for the flying shots. It's been a long time since I saw it, but I think they also used a combination of miniatures and a full-scale mockup (at least the fuselage.)

Not exactly a creative concept. B-29B-65-BA-44-84121 broke the ice in 1948. And, yes it was a Westinghouse project!
