Silberman collection

Mon Nov 22, 2010 11:37 pm

I just got done watching an old DVD with some scenes of Tico 1988 and it showed John Silbermans P-38 and his Fouga. I know he also had a Corsair at Tom Reillys place in Kissimmee as well. What ever became of these aircraft and any others he may have owned?

The Corsair project eventually went to Jim Fry, who passed (donated or sold) to the Vought Heritage guys, who restored her and rolled her out about a year ago at their facility in Texas as a static. Not sure about the P-38 or Fouga.

Cheers,
Richard

The P-38L belongs to Jack Croul and is flown by Jeff Harris.

Thanks guys. I've seen the P-38 at the Chino show a few times. I didn't realize the was the Silberman one. Thanks Jack!

Would love to see that DVD as I was there. Dad was good friends with Jaybo, he flew Johns P-38.

Hey Jeff, I'd be violating copyrights if I made you a copy of the DVD but I bought these a few years back at Big Lots for $2. It was a four part DVD collection, mostly old CAF stuff and also some Breckinridge video as well. Sadly, many of the planes in the videos are no longer with us.
