Female Pilots Needed!

Thu Dec 30, 2010 1:37 pm

Greetings WIXers!

Do you know any female pilots or ladies who are otherwise involved in aviation?

If so we need their help
!

We're holding a large-scale local event in the DC/MD/VA area. Its purpose is to encourage women and girls to get involved in aviation. The event is part of the national "Centennial of Women Pilots" campaign and we're expecting 150 - 300 female participants.

The event will be held in March of 2011 and will:

[*]Provide a free flight in a general aviation aircraft to every female that attends the event.
[*]Feature speakers, displays, and booths encompassing as many aspects of aviation as possible.

We already anticipate support from AOPA, FAA, the USAF, and other organizations.

I appreciate any help you can offer for this worthy cause!

(And regardless of your sex, please let me know if you are interested in being a volunteer pilot for this event!)

Thanks - and Happy New Year!

Mike

My cool cousin callsign Blaze is a AF fighter pilot. She's currently an IP at
Shepherd ABF, TX and previously flew with the 36th FS in Korea and the
4th FS in Iraq flying F-16s.
