Jet 1, I looked at Jimmy's A-4C. Out of the Malaysian A-4s available it's one of the more complete Cs. Could it be made airworthy, you bet ! Be prepared to go through it totally. It has been in the desert for 30 years. It was spraylatted before storage. Everything on these jets is remarkably well preserved and will clean up or be overhaulable.
The US Govt can not touch these aircraft, they were sold to a foreign country, never left CONUS, and the foreign country sold them to a private individual. The U.S. Govt sued to get them back and after many years in court with the requisite number of lost appeals, the govt lost the overall case. The aircraft are free of the standard encumbrances.
I felt that Jimmy was strong on price for a C model A-4 in this condition.

I'm not familiar with that law case. Is there anywhere on-line where I could read more about it, or perhaps the actual court papers? Also, have any other aircraft had a similar outcome of being sold in the same fashion as those A-4's?
