It's snowing again in north Texas. Bill, you're missing it here. The quote below is from the CBS/DFW website

"The low water content is keeping this snow light and fluffy. It will not be ideal for making snowballs, but it will be great for skiers… because we have so many great ski runs here in North Texas."

It may be melted before the Super Bowl, so hurry to get your skiing in!

Thanks for the report. Texans trying to ski is a lot like politicians trying to tell the truth, it is theoretically possible, but not very natural. My Son tells me in all seriousness that I am the best skier for a Texan that he knows. Howard skis a lot, and what he lacks in skill he makes up in determination, like a true marine.

Yeah, but things still hurt bad when you crash into something.

On a serious note, we had at least 20 people taken to the hospital from work in the last 24 hours for injuries from falling on the ice. One may have a broken back and two might have broken vertebra and/or skull fractures. Two of the guys on my shift may be out with broken hips from falls at home yesterday, we haven't heard back. That doesn't include people that got hurt falling and didn't have to get carried out to the hospital off facility. One of the guys on my crew fell getting in his truck as he was leaving this morning. He left a bit early to pick his daughter up from her job. She probably had one of the Dr's she works with check him when he got there.

I learned a few years ago that I don't bounce like I did when I was 20 years old and hurts last longer.
