Small Lettering

Sat Feb 05, 2011 3:24 pm

Hello all,

I'm looking for some advice on reproducing the small lettering that is not raised on some of the Yale's cockpit parts. I know that there is the option for screen printing but is there any others.

Patrick

A lot of that sort of stuff, like die cast model racecars are done with whats called 'tampo' printing sort of a stencil/ink or paint in a container like old style shipping labels used to be. Hit the GOOGLE machine for more info.

How about dry transfers? A company I used to work for here in the Phoenix area, Aeroloft Designs, did a bunch of dry transfers for the stenciling in the cockpit of Glacier Girl. Their dry transfers are 100% ink (no paper) and therefore are very thin and emulate the look of paint very nicely.
