Also recalling a Flight Journal article from those Halcyon Days of yore when The Egyptians were flying Spitfires against the Israeli Air Force who were armed with Messerschmidt BF-109s.

Not getting all judgemental or anything mind you.

The Israelis also had Spitfires post war, not just Me 109s. I believe I am correct that Egyption Spits attacked Israel and some were shot down by Israeli Spits. The still have some Spits, one of which flies and some other WW II planes.

As for Mubaraks involvement in torture and murder, there is a article by Nat Henhoff, sp?, in the paper yesterday about the collusion between the U S CIA or such group to send several Muslim suspects to Egypt to be imprisoned and tortured, them doing the dirty work for us. One suspect told the Egyptians and CIA what they wanted to hear, and that was one of the false sources about Iraq and WMDs. He admitted later that it was a lie and he knew nothing about such a WMD program, he said it to avoid being killed.

Really? Are you guys serious?
Why is it that some folks cannot leave this kind of crap out of this forum?
It's not about the politics of the man. It's about the aviation related history.

If I were to comment on Herman Goering's WWI piloting exploits or G.W. Bush's jet experiences would you guys blast that as well? I imagine some of you would....and it would be uncalled for.

Leave this behavior in other forums. Understand?

Pm's sent all around.

Zane, your choice of words "How Cool is that?" leaves a lot to be desired don't you think given the subject matter?

Whilst you probably didn't mean it, your poor choice of words makie it sound like because he was possibly a Spitfire pilot, that he is therefore a "cool dude!" Not the tin pot murdering tyrant he most certainly is.

Anyway, I am not new around here and have been a member for years. Your pm is not appreciated and your moderating skills leave a lot to be desired, given your over reaction and own poor choice of words.

Delete my membership and all my posts, right back to the start.
