It will be interesting to see what happens. Gatineau could be good too - decent backdrop AND the sun at your back.

That was just what I was thinking!!! Gatineau would be an excellant location for a show. Hmmmmm... Sun at your back and the hills in the background, a photographers dream.

Of course, the most important is that there BE a 2006 airshow. Wherever it is, I plan to be there, as long as they bring out the warbirds.

Amen to that!

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Gatineau is longer than Carp, but!!

The Airboss told me they wanted to do it small this year, as to have no troubles whatsoever, so that next year they'll swing a bigger one around.

I heard they finished expanding something at Uplands, that's where they'll be doing it.

Guys, use your imagination. What is based at Gatineau? When will it open? There, you have your Warbirds show. I'm not saying anything more.

That would be new terminal and surrounding ramps. This news would indicate that the show organizers are planning the show for the North-West side near the flying club. If I remember correct the construction of the Terminal was the reason the show was moved to Carp. If they are actually planning to return to uplands then they intend to return to a jets based show. That would be a bummer if there was no warbird event in the area. Not that I wouldn't go to the show.

I had already thought of that. I do know the Potter team want to focus on finishing construction and moving into their new factility. That uses up this fall. I heard a rumour they were thinking of expanding the fleet as well, so you might imagine that would take many more months. Even if they were to organize a warbirds show, unless it was VERY small (just their aircraft and a few visitors), and unless they have a significant expansion in staff and build a volunteer base (not an easy thing to do), then it would be unlikely a Warbird show would happen at Gatineau in the next year. Maybe two years or more from now. This is just an educated guess. Gatineau would be the place for a show and I would be excited if one took place there.

You think too much Mike.

Just wait and see. I just don't want to spoil my sources.
