I was under the impression that it was Fighter Rebuilders that 'made it all happen', as that is what was reported from my sources. Obviously they're wrong! I guess the only way to find out for sure is to contact both outfits...

Anyone have an email for California Aerofab? Can't find anything online.

Fighter Rebuilders helped to make Matt happen since he was a long-time employee, but Matt and his crew did the work on the Hawk (with the exception of the wings as noted). The aircraft was restored in a shop remote from Chino airport, then disassembled and trucked to Chino, reassembled and then flown.

Matt lurks on the WIX on occasion but is probably too busy doing real work to post (unlike me obviously).
