Thanks for the pictures.

That is Tail# 129. We called that the "Garbage hauler" because it is actually and RC-135 that has ZERO recon equipment in it and it usually is used to haul the crews and equipment to FOB ( Forward Operating Bases ) where the real RC-135's are at.

This 129 is also used for crashes and dashes ( touch and go's ) to keep the pilots up-to-date for flight pay and training.

Great Great shots of her with the new R model engines. Thanks for sharing.

To awnser the other question, YES most/all of the KC-135 now have R model engines on them. Off hand I cannot think of any units with the older engines still on them.
